Effect of Horizontal Motion on the Gantry Axis

With the gantry-axis servo enabled and the gantry stationary, the horizontal axis is moved back and forth over a 4 mm travel distance, with a maximum speed of 1,500 mm/s, acceleration of 5 G, and jerk time of 2 ms. The resulting left-right yaw error of the gantry is measured.

Dynamic Effect of Gantry Motion

With the horizontal-axis servo enabled and stationary at either the left or right limit position, the gantry axis is moved over a 4 mm travel distance, with a maximum speed of 1,500 mm/s, acceleration of 4 G, and jerk time of 2 ms. The resulting left-right yaw error is measured.
